hi

If i swithc from archivelog to noarchivelog and i stop my archiver .

After one or two days if i again switch to archivelog mode .

i had taken a full closed backup and started with log_archive_start = true. my V$log_history shows all log history though i had gone to noarchive and come back to archivelog mode. Which archived log do i need to keep as backup i) right from the begining
ii) only archivelog files after i switched from noarchivelog mode to archivelog mode

how to clear log history
in that case

Recreate your controlfile. Information from v$log_history is actualy stored in a controlfile, so by recreating it you wipe all that history entries.
