This was the 8.0 track test.
So far the most difficult test I've taken. The STS was only valuable on a few questions, it missed covering many subjects. I also studied Couchman's DBA guide and few other texts but I'm glad this one's over.
My last test in the 8.0 series is the Networking which I hear is not too hard. Is the STS pretty close on that one?

Hope to take it in a few weeks.

Congratulations. How much studying time did you put into preparing? I just passed A&A and I plan on taking P&T next.

I spent about 3-4 wks, but the holidays was 1 of those weeks.

I thought I was going down during this test, I had to take several wild ass guesses SWAGS

the STS for other tests has been right on in covering the material but in this test it left me short.

Couchman's DBA book has a lot of good info, I probably should have concentrated more on it,
I also have Oracle in 21 days and it had some good material.
Do search on the net there is lots of info for free out there

I also used Oralce DBA 101, Theriault

I ran alot of scripts, got familiar with all the v$ views, no real suprises there on the test.

I'm now studying for the Network exam, I hope to be done in a few wks

    Good luck

    Dan
