    Oracle 8.1.6

    Hi Friends..

In normal operation I generate 300 - 400Mb of archive log information a day.

Suddenly.. overnight on Dec31 2001 this increased to 4 - 5GB of archive log information a day.

I used logminer to see what information was being recorded and noticed thousands of internal operations with no sql redo/undo associated with them.

Does anyone know what these operations could be ?

Any help on this would be much apreciated.

    Thanks

    Suresh

Try to analyze what changes have been done with Database (new functions/packages/triggers).
    Best wishes!

    Thanks KGB..

Found out that there was a change to the database which has caused the amount and size of transactions to increase dramatically. This has battered my rollback segments and caused Gb's of redo.

All to do with the Euro..

Going to hurt the developers now.
