    Red face

Does anyone know if the Developer track will change to mirror the 9i track?
I notice the 1Z0-001 exam doesn't appear in the 9i track.
It used to be valid for both the developer and dba track.

I'm just lazy and tight. ($$$$) I like to take a single exam and have it count toward multiple certs. Ha!

Is that the Intro to PL/SQL exam? This is the same exam for the 8i and developer track, right? Let me know, because this is the one I am planning to take at the end of Jan 2002.

Are you going for the Oracle DBA cert and Developer, or only Application Developer?

    Thanks,

    Nick

    Arrow Eventually both

Well, eventually I plan to get both DBA and Developer certs. That is why I was trying to figure out if the Developer track will be upgraded with the 9i DBA track.

Yes, currenlty 1Z-0001 is the same for 8i and the Developer track.

I thought maybe Oracle would replace that exam with the 9i SQL Intro test. I wish Oracle would announce their intentions.

I need to get my New Year's Resolutions in line! Hehe...

    Exclamation Oh yeah!

Forgot to mention, I'm going to pursue my Oracle Application cert first.

I notice that you are, too.

Do you know of any go reference sites? Most Oracle forum sites like this one pertain to DBA only. It's hard to find good Oracle Developer sites!!

DBAs ig Oracle more than developers, that's a fact. You don't need to understand much about Oracle if you are an Oracle Developer; being a DBA is totally a different thing.

Yes, I have the 2 Forms exams left. I have read Allen's new book, I hope the questions are as simple as in the book... Well, they are not simple, let's say not hard.

On the 14.1 I am going to the 9i DBA upgrade, so now I am reading mostly about the new features of 9i (***** RMAN :-))

Do you have a timeframe for completion of the 6i track?

I will try to do exams 3 and 4 in the first quarter of 2002 if other things don't get in the way.
