    what i mean is you wont be able to see the nxt_extent properly in dba_segments

    i.e cant use LMT policy

    Hi Jeff.

    I know about how dbms_space package is not true LMT so do not want to convert my tablespaces using this.

    I thought that your solution was the best :

    Create LMT tablespace
    Move objects to it.

    However I have many objects with LONG RAW datatype which will not 'MOVE'.

    What choices do I have for converting to LMT ?

    I have thought about
    export
    create LMT's
    import to indexfile
    change storage parameters and tablespace
    run indexfile script
    import rows with ignore = y

    However this is a long winded solution to my problem as I have to change tablespaces/storage parameters for over 3000 objects.
    Can you offer any other solutions ?
