backup to tape

I am running an online backup to tape(sbt_tape) using RMAN,
it has been running for around 4 hours now, it didn't show up any errors, but is at the same poit, how do I check if it is doing something, in other words how do I check whether there are any backup files created in the tape.

To see what had got backed up to tape, invoke an sql session using the rman backup user name and query the rc_* catelog views.

other wise login using the rman and do list backupset would display all the backup set information to you.
