    How can I automatically login to SQLDBA & shutdown oracle-7 server which is on SUN-Server?
    Don't say you're not important,
    It simply isn't true,
    The fact that you were born,
    Is proof, God has a plan for you.

    Put these in a script and then run the script.

    vrmgrl << EOF
    connect internal
    shutdown;
    EOF
    exit

    **-- run the script thru a cron .
    Use the appropriate shutdown command incase users are connected to your database. Also not sure if the executable on 7 is svrmgrl or sqldba.
