Yeah, I'm in agreence with Pando and Julian in which, having to many certifications could actually be detrimental. I mean, just because you are certified in a technology, doesn't mean you know everything about it. You understand the concepts...but by no means an expert with it. Even OCP's, there isn't anyway to know everything about Oracle. Eventually, you'll have to look something up, so if you can fully know everything about one technology, how could you become an expert in many.
In my opinion, it's not about knowing everything about Oracle straight away, it's about knowing WHERE TO FIND the infomation quickly and being able to understand it.
Anyway, getting back to it. I think that a Solaris Certification/or going on a Solaris Admin Course is a must for Oracle dba's if your background isn't in Unix System Administration. I reckon it'll help understand how the two technologies compliment each other.
