    Hi !!!
I am learning that connection manager helps to handle multi-protocol network issues . Can somebody tell me what is this connection manager ??? Is it part of NET 8 or you have to buy it as separate tool from Oracle. ???
If it is in NET 8 where I can see how to configure it ??? Where remains cman.ora files ?? I mean location on server side directory ???
I am looking under oracle_home/network/admin and I am not finding any cman.ora ???

I have only seen and installed CMAN on a full installation disk, not on client software. That implies it is not part of NET8.

It is a seperate component/application that must be installed. If you do not see the files, my guess is it is not installed. It's control files do reside in $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin.

Connection manager is part of the Oracle Database, not the client software. I have configured it many times using http://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/...p_id=2077721.6
