    Hi

    I want to monitor mydatabase using OEM/DBA Studio.

    What is better :

    Shall i install those on my prod server
    or
    On some other m/c.

    please let me know the procedure..

    (actually i don't want to do anything on my prod server.

    Help me !!!

    Hi,

    For running DBA Studio you don´t need the OEM repository, you could run DBA Studio standalone. You must create the repository only if you want the console from enterprise manager.

    The best configuration is a database only for this repository and accesing all your databases, but normally is not possible.

    Hello

    Personally i dont sit inside the server room which is at a distance and i have more than one databases to maange so i install OEM on my workstaation and then add databases to my OEM and manage all my databases.i dont suggest taht you run OEM on server as it is a Java application and a memory hog.
