    Hi,
    Is there any problem in installing oracle8i under ROOT user on Solaris?

    you must not install Oracle under root user since you should never have any executable from an external application ran as root. you have to create a dba group and an oracle user. anyway the installer will refuse to run as root.
    just a question : why do you want to do that ?
