    Hi,

    When I look at my ARC1.trc file it tell me

    Instance name: SID

    Redo thread mounted by this instance: 1

    Oracle process number: 76


    What do u mean by
    Redo thread mounted by this instance: 1


    AND

    also on chekcing this file i noticed an error

    ***
    Corrupt block relative dba: 0x00000262 file=0. blocknum=610.
    Completely zero block found during controlfile block read
    ***

    this error came long back in july (i m new guy here).
    now no error is coming.

    what should i need to look into...

    Could you please check your alert_SID.log file for this instance normally located under $ORACLE_BASE/admin/SID/bdump and post the exact error from the log. This is due to some block corruption on the control file

    Could you also post the oracle and os versions too.

    I am new person over here. I was just going thru the alert logs etc.

    I found this error in my ARCH.LOG file. This came long back in July.

    The whole details from ARCH.LOG is as below :
