    Hi,

Can you tell me the difference between the number of sessions in the database and the database licences.

Secondly, what are the licencing modes in oracle?

How do we set the number of sessions for the entire database/ is it possible to restrict the number of sessions for the database.

Because the licensing schemes have changed significantly in the last three years, your best bet would be to contact your Oracle Sales Rep for definitions.

Also, you can look at https://oraclestore.oracle.com/OA_HT...help_licensing for details on the latest license agreement.

    Marist,
Thanks for providing the link. That link talks about different licences to be purchased depending upon processors, number of machines from which it should be access etc.

We became the oracle partners and we got a set of CD's from oracle corp.

Now, what is the default number of licence.

    2. If I have 2 users and these users open up 25 sessions each, would that be illegal.
