    Friends & Gurus:

Is there a way to drop a database? I have 4 databases that I no longer need and want to drop them to free up some disk space. I have already taken backup of them just in case. The only way i know is to drop the tablespaces w/in the database, but ran into some problem. Unable to drop the 'system' and 'rbs' tablespace. Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

    John

you shutdown the database, delete all control files, redo logs, archived logs, datafiles, init.ora, bdump, udump, cdump and bye bye
edit orataba if you have an entry there as well
