Thread: Run a Unix job from Oracle?

    I have a unix script which logs into oracle and creates a file using UTL_FILE package. Now I want to run the unix command: chmod 777 ,inside oracle before I log out. Does anyone know the package that will let me do that?

    no package does that, you cannot execute os command inside pl/sql
