Db Crash recovery/Incremental exp recovery!

Hi Eric!

Consider the following scenario:

1.
a).On Sunday we take offline(Cold Backup) Backup of the DB.
b).From monday through Friday we take DB INCREMENTAL Backups.
c).On Saturday say at 12:00 Noon,suddenly DB Crashes.
d).Between Friday and Saturday,no backups were taken.

Query:What would be my approach to take the backups and up the DB cosidering the above case to
be an Offline(cold) backup and the DB is working on NOArchivelog Mode.

This would be a case of Incomplete recovery using until time change 12:00 pm clause if I am not
wrong!Please correct me.

2.If the Db configuration asistant gets disabled and the Prod DB in our case not viewable but still the Prod db is working fine.

3.How could we take OS Incremental Backups.

Steps in detail required!

We again installed the Db configuration assistant using the Custom option but still the Prod
db is nowhere to be seen.

Any idea what could be done.

as I asked in your previous repeate post, what do you mean when you say incremental backup? Via RMAN?
