    Question

I made the uniform size for my LMT to be 64M.
I would like to change it to 32M.
Is there any work around to this?

    Drop it and re-create it.

As Jeff says. But why 32M? Are you running a megabase? Basically, it doesn't really matter how much the uniform size is but you might just be waisting a lot of space.

Just remember to add an extra 64K to the total size of the LMT. This is because the LMT uses the 64 K as header block.

If you create a LMT as 2000MB with uniform extents of 100 MB, you'll only be able to create 19 Extents and waste 99 MB because the LMT won't be able to used it because Oracle needs that tiny 64K block as a header.

Create this tablespace for 2000 mb as 2048064K. Then you won't have any wastage.

I have tablespace 4 GB datafiles with 500 MB uniform extents the tablespace is only occupied by one partitioned table. It's about 50 GB in size.
