error : TIMEZONE ora-01874

While importing i am getting this error message
ORA-01874 time zone should be between -12 and 13

How do i do this?

1) what's your OS and version of Oracle ??
2) did you FTP your dump file between a NT box and a Unix one ???

Os version is windows 2000 professional

Tried to import the .dmp file in nt and solaris but still the same error.

where was it exported from ?
what is the value of the TZ env variable ?

The time zone variable is the one for UK [WE8ISO8859PI].
But in my database it is US i,e USASCII.
We just got the dump and while importing it says that

time zone must be between -12 and 13. ORA - 01874 .

So i created a database with UK char WE8ISO8859PI and tried to import , even then its of no use.

I am afraid you will not be able to use your file. It is probably corrupted. The error you got might be missleading, i.e., not a Time Zone error. You usualy get this error if you transfer the .DMP file in ASCII format.
