Please Help me, How can I do, to export data from Oracle7 to MSACCESS97?
If you have an ODBC connection to the Oracle database, you can simply link the tables in Access and view them as if they were Access tables.
Alternatively, you can import the tables using "File/Get External data/Import". Click on the "Files of Type" and look for the ODBC Databases() option. When you select this, the display changes completely to the select data source scereen and you can select your Oracle database from the "Machine Data Source" tab.
I have a problem...
My Oracle's machine isn't online, this's on another server that my MSACCESS, therefore, I think that, I will need to create a batch process.
Export all the Data from the Oracle Database in delimeted
text file and import the same using Access .
Dirty but better than moving the same using ADO .
Hope this Helps
Are you hear talk about DTS?
If the Oracle machine is offline, what platform is it (Unix, NT, OS390, Windows?)
Everything is worlds easier if you can put the Oracle server online.
If the Oracle is an Microsoft OS, you could load Access on it and migrate there, then move the MDB to its permanent home.
How much data are we talking about? Is this a one time thing, or regular?
If your Oracle is V7.0.x or V7.1.x, some platforms (such as VMS) included a SQL*CALC app which was a spreadsheet that was designed for ORacle. You could access the tables there and put out an Excel compatible file that Access could read.
More data is needed to give options;.
