    I just like to know, when Partitioning a table is a good idea, some realted links will be appreciated.

    Partitioning is also great if you need to get rid of data quickly. For examply, at all times you keep 1 year's worth of data in a table. At the begginging of each month you truncate the oldest month 30 minutes prior to the next month, therefore keeping your data for the longest period possible. The truncation process is VERY QUICK, and no redo is produced.
