    Question rollback segs

    Hello Guys,

    From the following reading of v$rollstat, wat are the things to be noticed ??

    extents 20
    rssize 10641408
    WAITS 195
    OPTSIZE 10485760
    HWMSIZE 10641408
    SHRINKS 0
    WRAPS 912

    High Waits/wraps indicate that you have fewer rbs.

    Since waits and wraps are more, u may need to increase the number of rollback segments, also check v$waitstat to confirm this.

    Size is probably OK, you might go however to 1M extents on the RBSs depending on your transactions. But you need more RBSs. You should carefully estimate their number.
