Recently we migrated from 7.3 to 8.1.6
From day one I have a problem on export when it comes to the job queue
Here is a segment of the export log
. exporting bitmap, functional and extensible indexes
. exporting posttables actions
. exporting triggers
. exporting snapshots
. exporting snapshot logs
. exporting job queues
EXP-00008: ORACLE error 1403 encountered
ORA-01403: no data found
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_IJOB", line 439
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_IJOB", line 471
ORA-06512: at line 1
EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully
Any help is appreciated

1. Did you run catalog and catproc scripts after migrating?
2. Did you check for the object's validity?
Code:
Select * from DBA_OBJECTS where object_name = 'DBMS_IJOB';
3. Did you run catexp.sql successfully as SYS ?
4. Check your alert logs and make sure you did not get any error regarding permissions.
Need the answers, before providing any suggestions.

Hi Sam,
Here are the answers to the four questions you had asked.
1. The last step of the migration to Oracle 8 ran the catalog.sql and catproc.sql.
2. The object is valid.
3. I re-ran catexp as sys
4. No permission errors.
Thanks,
Prakash

How about after the Migration to 8i?
Did you try executing the export again? Could you let me know the results?

Sorry, when I said the Migration to Oracle 8, I meant 8i (We went from 7.3.4 to 8.1.6).

Could you try executing the export from the command prompt and let mw know of the status?

There are a couple of jobs which stay on the job queue forever. We even tried taking the jobs off before the export. Still gives the same error. The only option we havent tried is consistent = 'N'. I am not keen on trying this because I believe that export will be of no good to me.

Just ran the export from the command prompt and it gave the same error

There are several issues related to the Consistent=Y parameter on metalink. For example:
http://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/...atabase_id=BUG
http://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/...p_id=92286.999
The good news is that it looks like this is fixed in the 8.1.7.1 patchset. I would upgrade to 8.1.7.2 and see if this fixes your problem. (Note to self, stop sounding like Oracle Support...)

Yeah, I did go through your second link and kind of ignored the bug# as that was noted for 8.0.x. Now after going through your first link, looks like it had propagated to 8.1.6. and I'm convinced with it.
