    Hi

    can anyone tell me how I can find out the names of the all views in oracle 8i. e.g. all dynamic views, data dictionary views etc and also what all the fileds in the views represent.

    have a look at the dict table. It has info of all the dynamic views.

    Take a look at the dba_views, this should have all the information you are looking for.

    After a few thoughts, I wondered if you were looking for a description of the Data Dictionary. There are a few web sites with wonderful posters of the Data Dictionary. Check out
