    Hi

    I have a problem with my forms, when i openned from menu i have made, each time i tried save from button or icon for the first time is ok no error but the next always show error msg 'FRM-40405: No changes to apply.'

    I have tried on-error or on-message triggers but couldn't suppressed this message box.

    Hi
    I think you can suppress the message by using the System.Message_Level variable .

    :System.Message_Level := 10;

    try this one

    trigger : on-message at form level

    if upper(message_text) like upper('No%changes%to%save%') then
    null;
    else
    message(message_code||' '||message_text);
    end if;

    If instead of 'no changes to save' you are getting
    'No changes to apply' you can modify the string accordingly
    depending on the forms version you are using

    Hi
    Since you are getting 'No changes to apply' , I think there
    is a POST happening after you are commiting the form .

    Another way would be to keep the same code in
    the trigger key-commit but you will have to add
    the follg. to the code

    if message_text is null then commit else

    ..... the code given in previous post

    I don't know if this will help or not, but I had a similar problem in an MDI application. If I had three forms open simultaneously, Forms would try to commit them all and I'd get "no changes to commit" from two of them.

    The problem was that I had set up menu items for all the forms but had used OpenForm to open them. OpenForm is designed for multi-window applications, so it keeps the calling Form active. Once I had changed it to CallForm, everything worked correctly.
