VTK-1000:Unable to connect to the management server oradb. Please verify that you have entered the correct host name and the status of the Oracle Management Server.

I'm a Oracle beginner and my oracle is a chinese version. My english is poor. Please tell me the detail and use simple english.

In order to use your OEM, you first would have to have a repository created. To create the repository, use the oracle enterprise manager configuration assitant and create your repository on a database and once that gets completed use the OEM and you would be successfull in connecting to the OEM

but I've already created repository and still not connect to OEM

I started the oracle enterprise manager configuration assitant and selected "create a new configuration" (the english maybe not right because I used a chinese version).
Then clicked next and use "system/manager@oradb" to login the database successfully.
Then it prompted me input the repository's username and password and I done it. Next I selected default table space "OEM_REPOSITORY" and temp table space "Temp".
Click next the dialog views the settings:
    usernameceanju
    at database: oradb
    create user: yes
    default table space: OEM_REPOSITORY
    temp table space: TEMP
    update OMS settings: yes
//I translate the chinese to english
I clicked finish button and completed it.
But I used "sysman/oem_temp" to try to login OEM still failed.
Hope you understand me.My english is poor.
    thanks

ok, but have a another problem

thank you very very much, i have just connected the OEM.
but I have an another problem.
in my service manager, there are many oracle service, but I don't know what is this serive's use.
    Some service is manual. Include:
    OralceOraHome81Agent manual
    OracleOraHome81ClientCache manual
    OracleOraHome81dataGatherer manual
    OracleOraHome81ManagementServer auto
    OracleOraHome81TNSListener auto
    OracleServiceORADB auto
    Oracle WebAssistant0 auto

the service "OracleOraHome81ManagementServer" is auto.but when I start the OS(windwos2000), this service doesn't autostart. I check the log, have 3 useful messege.
1: The service is entering production run mode.
    2:The service was started.
3:(this is an error) detail:"The service has terminated abnormally. See the file D:\Oracle\Ora81\sysman\log\OMS.log for details."
I think this is why I can't connect the OEM. When I start it manually, I connect the OEM normally.
    please helps
    thanks

    OralceOraHome81Agent manual

Make it auto, if you have any database instances on the same server. This is used to dicover the databases on the server. Some thing like the listener for OEM

    OracleOraHome81dataGatherer manual

This is needed if you are planning to use the Oracle Tuning Pack to gather statistical data from the instance. Again make it auto if you have any database instances on the same server.

    OracleOraHome81ManagementServer auto

As the name suggests, it is the Oracle management server. Needed for your OEM client to talk to the oem repository and perform other oem related activities.

    OracleOraHome81TNSListener auto

This is for the oracle listener. This is needed for your clients to connect to the database.

    OracleServiceORADB auto

This is needed to start/shutdown your oracle instance ORADB, when you boot or shutdown your server...

    Oracle WebAssistant0 auto

This is the web assistant normally would be an appache server. This normally connects you to port 80 on your server.
