    Hi
I am trying to import from a database(817, WE8ISO8859P1) on NT to a database (817 US7ASCII) on unix.

My import fails with the following:

Export file created by EXPORT:V08.01.07 via conventional path
import done in US7ASCII character set and US7ASCII NCHAR character set
export client uses WE8ISO8859P1 character set (possible charset conversion)
export server uses WE8ISO8859P1 NCHAR character set (possible ncharset conversio
    n)
IMP-00033: Warning: Table "S_LOC" not found in export file

WHen I try to do a show=Y with indexfile option , I see the table is out there , but my import is failing . Any Clues what might be wrong?

    Thanks

Please show us your import parameters.

Also, the message displayed is a warning, not an error - so, is the import aborting, or does it complete but with warnings ?

    My export was done as:
    exp system/manager file=d:\expsales2.dmp log=d:\expsales2.log filesize=161061
    2736 rows=y direct=y compress=y tables=scott.s_loc

The Import aborts , it does not get the table in

In your import script are you using the

FROMUSER and TOUSER ? If not I would suggest that you use it.

When exporting from a different operating system as its destination, you must specify the recordlength parameter. I'm not sure of the exact details, but it's something to look into.
