I have 2 related questions, can any one help?

QUES1. IS the default maxsize for an LMT 2048M?

QUES2. Does the maxsize mean the same as max_extents in
that of a dictionary managed tablespace?

    1. don't know for sure, but I would bet it is platform dependant.

    2. maxsize is the maximum size your data file can grow to. maxsize is not specific to LMT's, but AUTOEXTEND.

    Good looking out.

DO you have any opinion on this?

Is it a good practise to specify the maxsize in your cretae LMT
command even if you want the maxsize to use the default value
    for the operating system?
I am thinking of not specifying the maxsize so that it uses the
default value based on my O/S, but I'm not sure if this is a
    good practise

AUTOEXTEND should be avoided if using raw files/partitions.
