    Hi Folks!
I'm running Oracle 8.0.6.2 on UX-HP version 10.20; Everyday I get the following error on the production database:

TNS-12500: TNS:listener failed to start a dedicated server process
    TNS-12540: TNS:internal limit restriction exceeded
    TNS-12560: TNSrotocol adapter error
    TNS-00510: Internal limit restriction exceeded
HPUX Error: 12: Not enough space

    What is the solution?

    Regards

In /stand/system file you have defined probbaly too few files that can be opned at a time. Increase and reboot.

I had once a similar problem but it was related to semaphores.

I had similar error after I shutdown DB and try to restart it.
    ORA- 12540, 00000, "TNS:internal limit restriction exceeded"

The reason was TNS still had too many connection while DB was down.
In my case, stop and restart the listener took care of it.
