hi friends,
i am upgrading 10.7SC to 11.5.3 on Sun SPARC Solaris 2.6

symptom: Apxevnt1.Sql Failing On Ora-12801 Ora-01438 Ora-06512

symptom: running adaimgr

symptom: Job apxevnt1.sql is failing

change: ORA-12801 error signaled in parallel query server P000
ORA-01438 value larger than specified precision allows for this column
ORA-06512:

metalink note 136127.1 suggests You are running in parallel mode.

Solution Description--------------------
Run serially without using the P00X processes.


what does that mean? what should i do now ?

it means dont use parallel query option, if parallel query is used a table can be modified/queried by several process at the same time to achive better response but in your case it seems that this is not doing better, serailly means just one process

What shouldi do now? i dont have anything like parallel query in my initPROD.ora

I just have parallel_min_servers andparallel_max_servers in my initPROD.ora

pls let me know how to proceed

well those two are used for parallel query but if you know which table are being accessed by the script you sn set parallelism of tables to 0
