    Hello friends


    I am Gurpreet Singh Sethi . I am working as a Jr. DBA. I have recently joiined a copany where they are runnig oralce 8.1.5 release. When i work on there database i found that no one there knows Internal's Password So i try to create passowrd file again with orapwd/oradim utility but it doesn't work .

    Means I delete the sid and again create with same name as the earlier but it didn't work.

    Any suggestion u want to share with me .

    By default, Password for INTERNAL user is ORACLE.
    However, you have to check with the person who has installed the oracle software.

    NT or Unix? Did you try changing the SYS' password? Internal is an alias for SYS.

    ALTER user SYS identified by password;

    But is it so that you do not know SYS' password?

    It's default is change_on_install.

    try setting initSID.ora parameter
    remote_login_passwordfile = EXCLUSIVE

    Keep it cool.

    Then use the orapwd/oradim
