    Hi all!

    Queries:

1.What are the steps to execute sql*loader from Excel,Foxpro
Files. We have OS as NT and Oracle v8i.

2.DB configuration assistant not getting invoked.
What could have gone wrong.Sometime back it was working fine.We at present cannot create any Databases!

if you can run os commands in excel or foxpro then you can run sql loader since it´s an os utility
if not you may write a visual basic macro to execute os commands? I am not sure since I am not a microsoft product expert

the db assistant most probably is caused by Java, check whathave you isntalled lately which is java absed

    Thumbs up command line DB

Do you mean you want to load data from excel docs? Or that you want to run sql*loader from excel?

You can always create DBs thru command line! It's fun!

Also, you could always re-install the DB assistant or just copy/paste the .exe into your bin directory.
