When you create a repository, you are essentially creating another Oracle database.

If you gave your repository a name, that is the name of your database. During creation, you probably created another Oracle Home.

You will need to edit the tnsnames file in the Oracle Home you have used for Designer. It is located in

    /$ORACLE_HOME/net80/admin.

Make sure that there is a listener running for this db and that the db itself is running.

    Good luck.

The username/password is the repository owner name, that must be created before you begin the software installation. if you have not a service (Connect string) you must create one.
you can read the installation guide for more help.
