My export has been running fine since it was set up well over a year and half ago. This weekend it started failing and these are the error messages that are in my log file.

EXP-00002: error in writing to export file
    EXP-00222:
    System error message 22
EXP-00002: error in writing to export file
    EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully

I cannot find out what the EXP-00002 error message means.

I am running Oracle 8.0.5 on Solaris 2.5.1.
Any ideas on what might be causing my export to fail?//

    This is close

EXP-00002 error in writing to export file

Cause: Export could not write to the export file, probably because of a device error. This message is usually followed by a device message from the operating system.

Action: Take appropriate action to restore the device.

No, it has a little over 2GB of freespace, but the export file is compressed after the export is complete. The compressed export file is about 230MB. I am using the gzip utility to compress the export file. Is it possible that the umcompressed export file is over 2GB?//
