    Hi

what's the average salary an oracle Dba can get in India or asia ?
i am getting only 300$ per month in south india..
is it same or still worse in other states and countries.
how much i can expect for having one year experience as Dba and Oracle developer ?
I think this was the sole reason for indian professionals migirating to US ?
being an oracle certified in oracle developer and Dba..still i am
unwilling to move to another company due to sudden recession in US

every day more then 100 highly qualified software professional are coming back to india due to sudden job cuts in USA.

hope everything come back to normal.
    Regards
    Mercy

This is a question not many people in Europe would answer. I wish I knew an avarage salary. It varies from country to country, from company to company, from person to person.

100 a day! Wow, why?? US companies are firing them?
As fas as I know most people who DEVELOP Oracles new versions are Indians.

If you read German, check out http://www.gulp.de. It will tell you about rates for freelancers.

In Germany, a DBA with 2 - 4 years experience can expect between 100k and 140k DM in the west as a permanent. An average salary is around 110-120K DM. Collecting this information is pretty difficult though.

In the east, take at least a 20% reduction.

Just FYI, the IT Greencard program requires that incoming foreigners make at least 63K DM in the east and 78k DM in the west of Germany.

    1$ = 2.2 DM (roughly)

    Good luck.

    Those geniuses are still there.
Only those who went in the JAVA rush of 1998-2000 are coming back. You see the policy in most US companies is LAST IN- FIRST OUT.

You cannot compare Indian salaries with those in the US or Europe. In India one can lead a fairly average lifestyle with Rupee equivalent of $300. In developed countries, it would be criminal to employ a person at $300 a month!

    regarding salary

The average salary depend on the experience and of the course the
company which you join (It based company or any other service industry)
Few firms offer between Rs 30000 to 40000 pm

I know a guy working in a reputed firm drawing a salary of
11 lakhs p.a in Indian currency

So basically It all depends on whether a person lives
upto expectations when it is needed the most

Now the salary situation may be very much different owing to the recession in the IT industry
