    Exclamation

I had a problem when i installed oracle 8i on linux. I took the default oracle home which was /home/oracle/OraHome1.
I continued the install and got to the point of the makefile and it came up with errors, I ignored the errors and continued going. Once the install was complete. I typed in sqlplus
but it could not find the library. I tried deinstalling to have it reinstalled.
I tried to create a new directory for the home but it said I have only 402mb space and in it needed 412mb space how could this be I have 9GB hard drive.
I also set my environment variables could someone please send me a copy on the ones they did that worked correctly?
    Thanks a lot

    hi,
Redhat Linux v7 is not in the stable stage for install oracle database, you may try lower version of redhat linux.
