    Hi all,

    I have need script for extract structure database
    running NT , for use before import plateform
    Solaris, its the same version 8.1.5 Oracle.

    And methods and tips for this migration.

    your help

    you can simply export your database, ftp your dump, and then import

    listen to Pipo, he's correct.
    Just read the Oracle docs on Export. They are clear and concise. Be sure to use FULL=Y parameter.

    Yes, but if you use special letters like ─, ┼, Í, then be careful with the FTP :-) I have already banged by head against the wall when trying to FTP Oracle dumps having words like "┼land".

    Hi,

    You maybe know that, but be sure to make your ftp transfer in 'binary' mode...

    right, using ASCII mode between Doze and X gives horrible things !!!
