Thread: export/import problem ..

    WE have a database running on 7.3.4 . When I am trying to export or import the schema I am getting the error . Export views are not created in the database .contact DBA . Do we have to run any .sql files on that databse ? . Or any advise ..Thanks in advance ..

    It sounds like you are either running a different version of export than your target database, or the export views were never created. To create the export views, run ?/rdbms/admin/catexp.sql from svrmgrl as internal.

    Yes Jeff I am running 8.1.7 client .. I am using same client for 8.0 or higher . But this is the first time I am using 8.1.7 vs 7.3.4 database .. Let me try same client ..

    You have to use the 7.3.4 exp program to do the export.

    Take a look at note 132901.1 on metalink : Compatibility Matrix for Export & Import between different Oracle Versions

    in metalink's advanced search there is a search condition DOC_ID just put 132901.1 and search
