Hi,
Our test instance on a NT server crashed yesterday. When I checked the log I had the following
Wed Aug 22 15:21:14 2001
Thread 1 advanced to log sequence 2822
Current log# 2 seq# 2822 mem# 0: F:\ORACLE\ORADATA\SMDFTEST01\SMDFTEST01REDO02.LOG
Wed Aug 22 15:22:15 2001
Errors in file D:\Oracle\Ora81\RDBMS\trace\smdftest01LGWR.TRC:
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kcbstc1_2zero], [0], [], [], [], [], [], []
LGWR: terminating instance due to error 600
Instance terminated by LGWR, pid = 166
(I don't know how to attach the trace file ...)
When I started the instance again, there was no problem and it is up and running now. Can some one tell me what could be the cause for the 600 error and how serious it is.
Regards

00600 is probably the most serious error in Oracle. It can be anything. It means Oracle internal error. Call Oracle and send them a copy of the alert file.
