    Question

    Hello All

I would like to write a shell script that perodically checks for a users mail box and then forwards the mail to the users sms account .

say for example my mail server is sendmail.com and my email is hrishy@sandmail.com whenever anew mail arrives i would like to forward this mail to my sms account which has an email id like 123456789@sms.net
also i would like to keep a simple text file containg the email ids of my contacts whenever i receive a mail from one of these contacts that the mail should be forwarded to my sms account not otherwise.

could anybody gimme a shell script for this.as i am new to shell scripts.

    regards
    hrishy

You are taking about two concepts one is mail forwarding, and the other is creating a list serve. They are two different concepts. Refer sun user manual for detail on how to set it.
