I cannot find certain information about large file size RMAN backup can support. Is there 2 GB backup piece limit using RMAN backup? My unix system support large file (>2GB).

You can try adjusting the filesperset parameter. The more files, the smaller they are.

    Good luck.

Sure, if your system supports, then you can go for it. But to be on the safer side, I would suggest that you keep within 2GB. If your oracle is 32bit, then 2GB is the safe heaven. If it was a 64bit then you can go for a higher limit. But why would you want to do it on to the disk?
