Thread: Problem with the substitute command

    Hello:
    For some reason I have not been able to get rid of Contol charecters ^M in my file. It is all over at every line's end..
    I am doing as :%s/^M//g
    Also in our system, there is no access to Man Pages as well..
    Can anyone point me to what I am missing.

    are you hitting ctrl+v before you enter ctrl+m?

    Great guys.. Thanks.. I was not using control ..ST2000

    May be we should also have a Unix abnd NT forum aswell in this site, since most of the pros are pros...
