    Hi

I have created a new database on my machine. Now I have facing a problem. I have created database using on my NT server using "ORADIM -new -sid NDB -intpwd internal
    -startmode auto".
I have successfully created database using catalog.sql and catproc.sql however whenever I am rebooting macine the db is not getting started automatically. I have even checked the services in control panel there also it is startmode is automatic.

    Hi,
This is bug #1266248. Problem is with the call that is made to ORADIM.EXE by the service when the registry entry ORA_SID_AUTOSTART=true. Oradim hangs and the service is shown to be in status 'starting'. The only thing that can be done is to disable the autostart and to start the database manually via Server Manager or to script a startup batch file. The autostart option will be fixed in release 8.1.7.
