    Question

Does any one know off head, how much space does it take for the creation of designer 6i Rel4 repository on the DB.

When I do an Install, I notice that to grow madly, around 30GB. Why on earth does it take that much?

Any one have any clue or idea. This is driving me nuts!!

Doesn't it ask you for the size of repository during the installation? Like SMALL, MEDIUM, and LARGE.

Yes, it did ask for the size of repository. But, it doens't seems to bother much, as I ended up cancelling the install once after it had acquired 30GB.

Does it geneate TEMP files during install?

    Can you beleive??

I was installing Oracle Designer6i Rel 4. I chose a medium install with the add on package option.( Core repository + the objects). So far it had eaten 80GB and still eating.

I don't know what on earth the oracle had put in this?? Any one have a rough estimate on how much it would end up eating? I have only 150GB on the filer.

    Hmmm, let me see ...

    Good Gods !!!

What on earth is going on with this designer 6i Rel4? It has eaten 100GB of space and still seems to be hungry.

Could someone give a solution for its appitite? My Choice was small repository woth only the core repository objects...

Am I doing something wrong to cause this amount of hunger for the disk space?
