    Dear Moderators and Members
I am trying to upgrade a database from 8.1.6 to 8.1.7 using the migration assistant. When I select the database to be upgraded, the GUI returns the following error:

Upgrade cannot proceed because of the "job_queue_processes parameter(s) does not have 0 (zero) value: job_queue_processes

I uncommented it from init.ora file, tried again and it still gave the same error. Please help...I recall Marist (Jeff) indicated in one mail he has used this tool with great success, wonder if Jeff can comment on my error. Thanks in advance.

Yes, I have used this tool many times with great success.

After you changed the job_queue_processes parameter did you bounce your database?

Job Queue Processes parameter should be set to 0 while because no jobs should be running while migrating the database
