    Question

    Hi Gurus,

    Presently i am working in Oracle 7 under Open VMS. I am working as a analyst programmer for nearly 4 years, beside i am doing some DBA activities like creating new users, assigning prev., indexing and tuning to some extent. I am interested in DBA. I am on my way to get the OCP for 8i. I have completed my 1 st exam pl/sql and preparing for admin & arch. I am getting practice in personal oracle 8i also. If i get this OCP certificate will it be worth enough to get a good offer and work as a fulltime DBA. Your valuable suggestions pls.

    Will the certificate allow you to recoup your $500(ish) investment? Highly likely. Can it possibly hurt? I can't see how. Sounds good to me.
