    Hi,

I have installed D2K on the same box as that of database. I used a different oracle home and the installation went through fine.

My Developer works fine where as the database listener does not start.

    Where do I check out.

Are you specifying that you listener doesnt start? what errrors do you get? Did you look at your listener logs?
lsnrctl status wil tell you where the listener logs are sitting.

    hi,
I have installed oracle 8.1.7 and on a separate home, I have installed developer 2000.

Now when I try to start listener, I get the following erro

    Starting tnslsnr:Please wait.....

Failed to start service, error 0.
    TNS-12560:TNS:Protocol adapter error

I checked for the log file, but it is not getting generated.
    Please help me
