    If I was ftp'ing database files

    .ctl's (control files)
    .dbf's (database files)
    .log's (redo logs)


    What transfer mode should I use

    ASCII or Binary?

    generally speaking : *ALWAYS* use binary when ftping from UX to NT or NT-UX
