BATCH SCRIPTING HELP NEEDED

Hi all


Here i am again stuck with this dos .........need help in writing a windows bat file.

Mt Komapny
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
L | Component |type
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 | wh ware |yes | No
2 | wh ware | go | Inboundate


now i have thousand of records in a file i would like to have a c0unt of ware where the type is yes .any ideas on how to do it.

could somebody tell me how to do it using awk on unix or some other method on NT.

how about download CYGWIN and run your shell scripts in NT?

Hi folks

i finally solved the problem............well bill seems to have provided us with a small help file for batch scripting on winnt..............after all bill seems to be friendly guy.thankx billy...........ah thanx pando for the pointer on cygwin.
