Max number of Instances !!!

Hi Gurus,

On our oracle server 8.1.5 there are currently 5 database instances running separately.

Is there any way to fix the maximum number of databases instances that can be run on this server ?

I mean can i control the number of instances & databases that can be created on this server .

Revoke the file permissions for the dbassist, and then other oracle files. Change the oracle binary owners password and etc are some of the common control machanisms that you could take to control the instance creation.
