Dear Moderators/Members
I am exporting an 8.1.6 database from one machine and then importing it to another DB on a different node running 8.1.7. When creating the new tablespaces for the new 8.1.7 databases which the data will be imported into, am I supposed to maintain identical extent configuration as it existed in my previous (8.1.6) database?

No, you don't have to maintain the same storage attributes. In addition if you use the compress=y on the export, it will compress all your extents into one extent when the same file is imported.
